Punchy ... Convincing ... This is not the book I expected ... This book shies away from coming up with concrete solutions but as the authors make clear there are many reasons why we should fear a depopulated future ... If I have one quibble with After the Spike it’s that it underplays humanity’s problem-solving abilities and exaggerates the immediacy of the problem.
